Terms of Service

We introduce homeowners to local home service professionals. We are not the contractor, we do not do the work, and we are not a party to whatever you and a pro agree between yourselves. Choosing a pro, agreeing a price, and being satisfied with the result are between you and them.

We publish a directory of local home service pros and pass service requests from homeowners to the pros who match them. Using the site means you accept these terms.

Homeowners use the service free of charge and without an account. Pros apply to be listed, are reviewed before appearing, and may be charged a subscription to receive requests. Any subscription terms, including price and cancellation, are presented at the point of sign-up and form part of these terms.

This is the most important thing on this page, so it is stated plainly. A pro appearing in the directory means a person who runs that local market reviewed the application and chose to list them, based on things like the information the pro supplied, local reputation, and personal knowledge of their work.

It does not mean any of the following:

• That we have independently verified every licence, insurance policy, or certification a pro claims
• That we supervise, inspect, or stand behind any work performed
• That we guarantee the quality, timeliness, safety, or price of that work
• That we are responsible for a pro's conduct, employees, or subcontractors

Before hiring anyone, confirm for yourself that they hold current licensing and insurance appropriate to the job, and get the agreement in writing. Listing is not a recommendation that you should skip the checks you would otherwise make.

• Give accurate information in a request. Pros rely on the address and the description to quote the work.
• Send requests only for work you genuinely want done. A fake request wastes a real person's time and costs them money.
• Understand that your name, contact details, and the address where the work is needed are sent to matching pros. This is explained in the Privacy Policy.
• Deal directly with the pro on price, scheduling, contracts, payment, and any dispute.

• Everything you tell us must be true, including your business name, the categories and towns you serve, and any licence or insurance details.
• Hold and maintain the licences, registrations, and insurance the law requires for the work you accept, and tell us if that changes.
• Only upload photos of work you performed and have the right to publish.
• Contact homeowners only about the request they sent. Using their details for marketing, resale, or unrelated contact is grounds for removal.
• You are an independent business. Nothing here makes you our employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer.

We may decline an application, or remove or hide a listing, at our discretion. Where a listing is removed for a reason we can share, we will say what it was.

Do not use the service to break the law, harass anyone, misrepresent who you are, scrape or bulk-collect listings or contact details, interfere with the site's operation, or attempt to reach data you are not entitled to. We may suspend access for any of these.

You keep ownership of what you submit, including listing text and photos. You give us permission to display and distribute it for the purpose of running and promoting the directory. You are responsible for having the right to give that permission.

The service is provided as is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that the information in a listing is accurate or current. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, and we are not liable for the acts or omissions of any pro or homeowner, including defective work, property damage, injury, or a dispute over payment. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars.

Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim arises from your use of the service, from work you performed or commissioned through it, or from your breach of these terms.

We may update these terms as the service grows. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts of New Jersey have jurisdiction over any dispute.
